There is a huge variety of tech and gadgets stuff under the children-oriented brands — from tons of Hello Kitty merchandise to even Disney’s Vinnie the Pooh flash drives but Barbie managed to stay quite in old-fashion. but now is something completely different. Pinkaholics and girls cheer up — there is now pink iPod doc / FM radio / alarm clock in the pinkish fuchsia color imaginable.

This is madness. THIS IS BARBIE.

olympus.jpgOlympus Japan has introduced the VJ-10, a radio which looks more like a PMP. Olympus put inside 37GB hard drive into the VJ-10 and will be selling them as radio servers, as the 37GB hard drive can record upto 2500 hours of radio programming. The unit has a 3.9 inch (128 x 400) monochrome STN display, USB 2.0, amplifier and stereo speakers which sound much better thanks to SRS and WOW XT. The VJ-10 can be used as a standalone hard drive too. It has a plain AM / FM tuner. Recording is in WMA format (32 - 128 kbps), the unit can be preprogrammed for 20 recordings which are saved in different folders depending on the frequencies.

The Olympus VJ-10 is 205×120x89mm and weights 640g. It will be available in Japan from March 16 for 40,000 Yen ($ 335).
