Posted January 27th, 2007 in Mobile Phones
Sharp releases colored variants of the 812SH not like Motorola but instead it is offering customers 20 colors. It is quite a lot I should say.
The W-CDMA clamshell has a 2.4 inch display (240 x 320 pixels) supporting 260,000 colors and an external 0.8 inch OLED display. It has a 2 Megapixel camera with video recording and a Micro SD card slot (upto 1 GB). The phone supports Felica for making wireless payments and securing the mobile phone is an advanced face recognition which wont unlock the phone unless it sees you.

Posted January 25th, 2007 in Mobile Phones
We all love high resolution displays. Be it on our TV, our monitors, or even our cellphones. Hitachi knows it, and it knows that the cellphone department has been a little lacking of late.
So, in comes Hitachi W51H, a cellphone featuring Hitachi’s latest LCD technology. The display is 2.9-inch, has a high resolution of 800×480, a 170-degree viewing angle, and a 400:1 contrast ratio. This beats the crap out of iPhone’s 320×480 resolution.
Samsung STT-D370 know where are you
Posted January 25th, 2007 in Mobile Phones
The Samsung STT-D370 is a perfect Korean product - it’s slim, shiny with 3.7 inches display and has a brilliant resolution. It also provides with Bluetooth connectivity, a SD expansion slot, a removal battery and support for Office Automation. It also comes with DMB for television watching in it.
The device provides GPS capabilities that you know how to reach the destination fast and easy. Hope it shows more than just Korean states; after all we want a taste of everything back home. If you feel you aren’t all that attractive to digital air signals then do take pleasure in using the adjoining antenna with it. The battery provided in the D370 is powerful enough to keep you entertained during long drives or while on the move. The device can be charged with a 24pin mobile phone charger.
Hunt ‘em down with Tianyu’s B832 anti-theft multimedia phone
Posted January 24th, 2007 in Mobile Phones
Tianyu B832 is a dualband GSM phone that doesn’t catch attention at first glance: just a plain, fail-safe Siemens-ish design. What’s so special about it would be its anti-theft features. Firstly when somebody steals your phone and changes a new SIM card, an SMS message will be automatically sent to your old number (which you can receive once you get a new SIM card from your operator bearing the same number), so you’ll know who has taken your phone and hunt that cheapskate down. Secondly, once the phone gets back on network, it can be locked offshore from a computer if you choose to do so, it’s almost like the IMEI trick but this time you are playing police yourself.

Posted January 20th, 2007 in Mobile Phones
So, Google Switch is said to be the result of a partnership between Google and Samsung. Though there are no confirmed reports as yet regarding this phone, the hopes are running pretty high. According to the last trends the Google phone is said to be a button-less touchscreen device with GPS built-in for navigation around Google Maps. Pictured is the phone’s contact program rumored to be an extended version of Gtalk combining Gmail, text and instant messaging. This phone may not have any on-board storage; all the applications are sourced over the network with new applications “attached” to your account via a web interface. hoping to hear any official words soon.
