Rumors about the Nokia 7088 can now calm down. Nokia has officially launched the Nokia 7088 which is not only the first CDMA model in the popular L’Amour Collection, but also the first slider version of this fashion collection. “The Nokia L’Amour Collection has been enthusiastically received by design minded individuals around the world. We are pleased to be able to bring this bold expression of style and taste to CDMA customers,” said Larry Paulson, vice president and general manager of Nokia’s CDMA business. This much-sought after design offers a video recorder, camera with LED flash, 128 x 160 pixel color display, two-way speakerphone, voice recorder and calendar.
Probably this latest CDMA fashion phone will be available in Asia/Pacific, Middle East, Africa, China and Latin America during the 2nd quarter of 2007.
LG showed two clamshells, who operate over CDMA. The LG VX-8700 is with a 2 megapixel shooter and EV-DO radio connectivity. Also, there is Bluetooth and microSD. The external display blends into something called a ‘brushed aluminum façade’. Next on is the LG LX-570. Glossy black music phone. Yeah. It comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera, FM tuner, EV-DO and Bluetooth and a tune-controlling D-pad. To make music toggling easy, this one is touch-sensitive. There’s also a micro-SD slot for extra storage.
There is no news on the release date of price of the LG VX-8700 and the LG LX-570 for now.
