Sony Ericsson P990An insider confirmed latest rumors about hardware differences between early and latest series of Sony Ericsson top smartphone P990.

It has also been reported that P990 firmware update launch delay was caused by a prolonged attempts to solve problems with early series of smartphones by means of software, including the memory controller problem.

Sony Ericcson plans to recall all the defective smartphones in the first quarter of 2007. Stay tuned for an official announcement, we imagine it’s likely to follow the launch of the new firmware update.
