HTC Athena X7500 Looks Suspiciously Like a UMPC

There is a marketing terra incognito between Phone/PDAs and ultraportable notebooks into which exploratory forays seem to disappear forever: it is the form factor of no return, better known as “UMPC with a keyboard”. The HTC Athena X7500 hopes to conquer this undiscovered country and become its King.
The rumored specs, courtesy of mobile-review.com: 5.2″x4″ body with a 5″ 640×480 display; runs the Windows Mobile PPC Phone Edition operating system; and includes a UMTS/HSDPA quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE cell phone aimed specifically at the U.S. market. Callers will get 6 hours of talk, 300 hours of standby, GPS and a 2 megapixel camera in addition to stereo speakers, tv-out, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 and a 624MHz Intel Bulverde CPU to keep it all chugging along.
It seems like a dream come true, except for two things that prove conclusively the makers just haven’t got it: it’s going to be fantastically expensive because of all the high-end crap stuffed in it, and the keyboard is designed by an artist.
Can someone just make a HP Jornada 728 with a damned phone in it, please?
